Judaic studies lecture: The Weinberg Judaic Studies Institute of the University of Scranton will welcome Azzan Yadin-Israel, Ph.D., chair and professor of Jewish studies at Rutgers University, for a lecture Nov. 13. His presentation, \u201cSolving the Mystery of Adam and Eve\u2019s Forbidden Fruit,\u201d will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Pearn Auditorium in Brennan Hall. Yadin-Israel is the author of \u201cTemptation Transformed: The Story of the How the Forbidden Fruit Became an Apple,\u201d released in 2022, which pursues the centuries-old mystery of why, when and where an apple became the forbidden fruit. Yadin-Israel graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree in philosophy and Jewish thought from Hebrew University, and a Ph.D. in Jewish studies from the University of California, Berkeley. He\u2019s been a member of the Rutgers faculty since 2002. The presentation is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Your registration price will provide you with the material for one decoration, including a wire frame, a variety of fresh evergreens, berries, pine cones and a decorative bow.
