Erie County officials are inviting residents of the Girard and Lake City area to participate in a Community Housing Open House this evening as part of the ongoing effort to update the county’s Comprehensive Housing Strategy.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Erie County Department of Planning and Community Development, the event is the second of four community open houses designed to gather public input on housing needs, challenges, and opportunities across the county. County leaders say community participation is critical to ensuring that the updated housing strategy reflects the priorities and experiences of local residents.<\/p>\n
The open house will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on August 12, at the Elk Valley Elementary School Library, 2556 Maple Avenue in Lake City. The open house will be a drop-in session, allowing attendees to participate at their convenience throughout the evening.<\/p>\n
The housing strategy update is part of Erie County’s broader effort to better understand current housing conditions and prepare for future growth and development. Input collected during the open houses will help guide recommendations and policies that support residents and strengthen communities throughout the county.<\/p>\n
Residents interested in attending may register online<\/a>, though registration is optional.
