The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is sticking around for two more weeks this summer.<\/p>\n

The annual festival at Franklin Square has been extended through Sunday, Aug. 30. It will continue to run daily from 6 to 11 p.m.<\/p>\n

The extension also comes with new deals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Select dumplings will cost $1 each on Mondays, and carousel rides will be free for adults and children on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, two adults who purchase festival tickets will receive a free round at Philly Mini Golf.<\/p>\n

Regular festival admission varies by day. Monday through Thursday tickets cost $28 for adults, $16 for children ages 3-13 and $25 for adults 65 and older and active-duty military members. Friday through Sunday tickets cost $32 for adults, $16 for children and $29 for seniors and active-duty military. Children 2 and younger are free.<\/p>\n

Franklin Square remains free to enter during the day, and the lantern displays can be viewed without a ticket during daytime hours.\u00a0The park closes at 5 p.m. to prepare for the nightly festival. A ticket is required for admission after 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

The festival is held rain or shine.<\/p>\n
