{"id":264669,"date":"2026-08-13T16:22:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T16:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/264669\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T16:22:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T16:22:07","slug":"health-systems-stepping-up-ai-deployment-upmc-report-finds-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/264669\/","title":{"rendered":"Health systems stepping up AI deployment, UPMC report finds \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Artificial intelligence has made major inroads into hospitals and health systems with most using AI, according to a new report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/organization\/upmc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UPMC<\/a>\u2019s Center for Connected Medicine and KLAS Research.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">More than 90% of health systems in the survey are using AI with more than half (52%) deployed for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/2025\/06\/24\/abridge-andreessen-horowitz-ai.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">clinical documentation<\/a> and a third for either revenue cycle, billing or coding.
