The Erie SeaWolves have announced their home game dates and opponents for the 2027 season, providing fans with an early look at another exciting year of Double-A baseball at UPMC Park.<\/p>\n
The SeaWolves, the Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, will begin the 2027 campaign on the road against the Akron RubberDucks on April 2 before celebrating their home opener on April 6, against the Harrisburg Senators at UPMC Park.<\/p>\n
Erie’s 2027 schedule features 138 regular-season games, including 69 home contests. Most series played at UPMC Park will consist of six games, with the lone exception being a three-game series against Akron following the Major League Baseball All-Star break.<\/p>\n
Fans will have multiple opportunities to see some of Minor League Baseball’s top prospects representing organizations across the sport. The SeaWolves will welcome the Altoona Curve, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate, for two homestands in June and August. Akron, affiliated with the Cleveland Guardians, will also make two visits to Erie.<\/p>\n
One of the highlights of the schedule comes in May when the SeaWolves host consecutive series against two of baseball’s most recognizable franchises. The Somerset Patriots, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, visit from May 4-9, followed immediately by the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, from May 11-16.<\/p>\n

While looking ahead to 2027, the SeaWolves remain focused on the present. Erie is currently pursuing another Eastern League postseason berth and has reached the Eastern League Championship Series in each of the last four seasons.
