It’s opening night for the \u2018Spoon River Project\u2019 at Mercyhurst University.<\/p>\n

In celebration of the centennial year at Mercyhurst University, the theatre program is relaunching it’s summer professional theatre program; this year, connecting alumni with current students.<\/p>\n

The cast collaborated with other guest artists for three weeks, to work their craft, from acting, music, singing, and dancing., It’s offering a unique opportunity for students, unlike any other program offered in the region.<\/p>\n

The show runs just over an hour and is set to captivate an audience.<\/p>\n

Erie News Now\u2019s Executive Producer, Brianna Carle, is the Stage Manager for the production, making her return to theatre for the first time in over 10 years.<\/p>\n

Curtain goes up Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Taylor Little Theatre on the Mercyhurst University campus, and runs through Sunday with a 2 pm matinee.<\/p>\n
