A soup kit sold at Walmart stores in Pennsylvania was recalled over possible Listeria contamination. <\/p>\n
Kettle Cuisine LLC recalled its Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit last week because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the Food and Drug Administration announced<\/a>. <\/p>\n The recalled product was sold between June 30 and July 7 at Walmart stores across the country, including in Pennsylvania. The kits have a UPC of 194346474004 and a use-by date of Aug. 22. <\/p>\n The recall was initiated after routine testing produced a presumptive positive result for Listeria monocytogenes. To date, Kettle Cuisine LLC has received no confirmed reports of illnesses associated with the kit. <\/p>\n Anyone who has the soup kit should not consume it. Either throw it away or return it for a refund. <\/p>\n Listeria contamination can cause infections that could prove deadly to young children, frail or elderly people or those with a weakened immune system. Healthy people may only have short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea.
