OHIO COUNTY, W. Va. \u2014 Families filled Bethlehem Community Park on Sunday morning for a full day of fitness, food, music and family-friendly fun during the annual Caleb Smail Human Kindness Project.<\/p>\n
The event is held to celebrate kindness and community connection, with activities planned throughout the day.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m hoping that they\u2019ll understand that the reason I\u2019m doing this to number one honor my son, that was my promise to him. And the second is we\u2019re trying to promote kindness and that there are ways to help people in the community and to have a good time,\u201d said Beth Kennedy, Caleb\u2019s mother.<\/p>\n
Attendees also had the chance to join a high-payout 50-50 raffle and a large Chinese auction featuring family-friendly prizes, gift baskets and local experiences. A lineup of regional food trucks was also on site, giving families plenty of options to eat while enjoying the festivities.<\/p>\n
