Berks County Controller Joe Rudderow has been elected first vice president of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers.<\/p>\n
Rudderow was elected to the position during the association\u2019s annual meeting at the end of July. As first vice president, he will serve on the organization\u2019s Executive Committee, which develops educational and legislative priorities based on direction from its membership.<\/p>\n
Rudderow was also appointed chairman of the association\u2019s Education Committee for the coming year.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am honored to serve as First Vice President of PSACC and to have been appointed Chairman of our Education Committee for the coming year,\u201d Rudderow said.<\/p>\n
Rudderow also announced that Berks County will host the 2027 PSACC Summer Conference next July as part of the county\u2019s 275th anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n
\u201cWow \u2014 what a proud Berks County moment!\u201d Rudderow said. \u201cThis tremendous opportunity to showcase the very best of Berks County to counties across Pennsylvania.\u201d<\/p>\n
The association\u2019s Executive Committee also includes President Jason Moser of Centre County, Second Vice President Maria Longo of Beaver County, Third Vice President Heather Sheatler of Washington County, Secretary A.C. Stickel of Blair County and Treasurer Mary Bateman of Dauphin County. Immediate Past President Greg Bower of York County will also continue serving on the committee.<\/p>\n
The Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers was established under Act 129 of 1919, although county controllers first met to discuss issues related to their offices in 1914.
