{"id":26715,"date":"2025-11-06T14:30:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T14:30:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/26715\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T14:30:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T14:30:08","slug":"thousands-of-power-outages-reported-as-winds-topple-trees-monroe-county-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/26715\/","title":{"rendered":"Thousands of power outages reported, as winds topple trees | Monroe County Area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PENNSYLVANIA &#8211; Thousands of customers in our area are waking up Thursday morning without any power.<\/p>\n<p>According to the website <a href=\"http:\/\/poweroutage.us\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">poweroutage.us<\/a>, more than 3,000 customers in Monroe County are in the dark.<\/p>\n<p>More than 2,000 are without power in Northampton and Bucks counties.<\/p>\n<p>And more than 1,000 customers are without power in Lehigh and Berks counties.<\/p>\n<p>In North Whitehall Township, a tree fell on a home. And in Allentown, a tree came down on wires, prompting firefighters to respond to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Over in New Jersey, Warren County has more than 2,000 outages, while Hunterdon County has more than 1,000.<\/p>\n<p>WFMZ-TV meteorologist Clayton Stiver said there were wind gusts up to 50 miles an hour in some areas.
