Crews working with local real estate broker, contractor and developer Ron Parasole dismantled the clock tower at the convergence of State and Depot streets Monday. Also removed was a plaque at the tower base in memory of Laura Lee DeFazio Morabito, a Clarks Summit native who died on 9\/11. Borough officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes-tribune.com\/2026\/02\/13\/times-up-for-clarks-summit-clock-tower\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">decided to remove the clock tower<\/a> because the it doesn\u2019t have an easement for the private property where it is located. The borough plans to relocate the plaque to Finish Shop Pocket Park on Depot Street and beautify the park.
