WINDSOR TWP., Pa. \u2013 A tractor-trailer ran off the roadway of I-78 and came to rest in an embankment amid heavy rain on Monday night.<\/p>\n
State police say the incident happened around 5:40 p.m. when the tractor-trailer was headed westbound on I-78.<\/p>\n
Police say the driver was moving at a high rate of speed when they lost control of the truck on the wet roadway, hit a guardrail, and rolled over.<\/p>\n
According to state police, the driver was taken to Reading Hospital for evaluation. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n
The guardrail was damaged, and fire crews had to clean up fuel that leaked from the truck into a nearby creek, authorities say.<\/p>\n
The right lane was closed for 45 minutes from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. but has since reopened.<\/p>\n
Video from the scene shows the tractor-trailer in pieces. The vehicle was towed following the crash.<\/p>\n
Police say the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and there was no cargo on the tractor-trailer.<\/p>\n
