Brann on charges of interstate transportation of stolen property.

Maclean, who was the last of eight defendants to be sentenced in the scheme, had admitted to being part of the network that bought and sold human remains, including remains stolen from Harvard Medical School.

Joshua Taylor, 49, of West Wyomissing pleaded guilty in May 2025 and was sentenced by Brann in July to two years in federal prison on charges of conspiracy and interstate transportation of stolen property.

According to U.S. Attorney Brian D. Miller of the Middle District of Pennsylvania:

From 2018 through 2022, Cedric Lodge, who managed the morgue for the Anatomical Gifts Program at Harvard Medical School, stole organs and other parts of cadavers donated for medical research and education before their scheduled cremations.

Lodge at times transported the stolen remains from Boston to his residence in Goffstown, N.H., where he and his wife, Denise Lodge, sold the remains to Maclean, Taylor and others, making arrangements by cellphone and social media websites.

Cedric Lodge at times allowed Maclean and Taylor to enter the morgue and examine cadavers.

Taylor on some occasions transported the stolen remains back to Pennsylvania. At other times, the Lodges shipped the stolen remains to Taylor and others out of state.

Maclean and Taylor sold the stolen remains for profit, including to Jeremy Pauley of Susquehanna County.

Pauley also purchased stolen human remains from Candace Chapman-Scott, who stole remains from a mortuary and crematorium in Little Rock, Ark., where she was employed.

Chapman-Scott stole parts of cadavers that were to be cremated, many of which had been donated to and used for research and educational purposes by an area medical school, as well as the corpses of two stillborn babies who were supposed to be cremated and returned as cremains to their families.

Chapman-Scott sold the stolen remains to Pauley and shipped them to him.

The following defendants also pleaded guilty: Matthew Lampi of East Bethel, Minn.; Angelo Pereyra of Wichita, Kan.; Andrew Ensanian of Montgomery, Lycoming County; Cedric Lodge; Denise Lodge; and Chapman-Scott.

Lampi was sentenced to 15 months in prison.

Pereyra was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Ensanian was sentenced to 6 months in prison.

Denise and Cedric Lodge were sentenced to 96 months and 12 months, respectively, in prison.

Chapman-Scott was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

A Massachusetts woman has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for her role in a nationwide…

[11
349,46,182,139,28,29,128,130,129,706
post-268123","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-reading","tag-berks-county","tag-courts","tag-local-news","tag-news","tag-pennsylvania","tag-pennsylvania-news","tag-reading-city","tag-reading-city-headlines","tag-reading-city-news","tag-top-stories-reg
["GET
