{"id":268124,"date":"2026-08-19T11:52:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T11:52:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/268124\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T11:52:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T11:52:15","slug":"man-dead-after-generator-falls-on-him-in-workplace-accident-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/268124\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dead after generator falls on him in workplace accident, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">A man is dead after an alleged workplace accident in Allegheny County. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Allegheny County Police Department says 911 officials were told about a man trapped beneath a generator near Pacer Drive and McGee Road in Sewickley Hills around 9:10 a.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">First responders performed life-saving measures, but the victim died on scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">At 11 p.m., the Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the man as Dillon Egerter, 33, of McCandless.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">ACPD says preliminary information detectives gathered shows the man\u2019s death \u201cwas the result of an accident that occurred at the work site.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Anyone with information about the alleged accident should call the County Police Tip Line, 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
