WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. &#8211; A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in South Whitehall Township Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Officers with the South Whitehall Township Police responded to the 3300 block of Hamilton Boulevard for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle shortly after 11 p.m., township police said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Township police said officers found a man suffering from serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>He was treated at the scene and then brought to a local hospital, where he later died, according to township police.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Hamilton Boulevard was temporarily closed while officers investigated the crash and processed the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The incident remains under investigation by the South Whitehall Township Police Department, with assistance from the Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>No word on what led to the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Det.
