PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) \u2014 In Pittston, a new take-out restaurant is set to open just in time for the Tomato Festival.<\/p>\n
Rotten Tomato Meal Co. is the newest addition to Pittston\u2019s South Main Street that aims to serve homemade comfort food for people on the go.<\/p>\n
Open 7 days a week, the restaurant specializes in hot or cold meal prepped dishes for everyone to enjoy and will feature a rotating seasonal menu.<\/p>\n
Co-owners Michael Langdon and Kristen Favata say the idea started as a way for people to get quality meals fast and after months of preparation, they\u2019re almost ready to open their doors.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s our goal to be available to the largest demographic possible,” said co-owner Michael Langdon. “You know, we want our pricing to be fair. We want everybody to be able to get homemade food and overall, we really hope to make everybody\u2019s lives just a little bit easier.\u201d<\/p>\n
The duo says it’s been a push to finish in time but that they think everyone will be surprised when Rotten Tomato Meal Co. opens at 2p.m. on Thursday during the Pittston Tomato Festival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO.
