the Shelter took to Facebook calling on its local community and businesses<\/a> to lend a helping hand.<\/p>\n\u201cWe\u2019re putting a call out to area restaurants and organizations who might be interested or wanting to help support the cooked meals that we do every night at 5:00,” Rosengrant, Executive Director of the NEPA Youth Shelter, said.<\/p>\n
Now this isn\u2019t just another meal for the students at the NEPA Youth Shelter. For some, it might be the last meal they have until the next day, and many hungry teens depend on the hot cooked meals from the shelter after school.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to keep that going; I mean, it\u2019s up to us to make sure there\u2019s a hot meal for them every day,” Rosengrant said.<\/p>\n
Plus, it\u2019s not just cooked meals that the Shelter provides teens and young adults; they also provide donated clothes, snacks, school supplies, and more.<\/p>\n
Rosengrant says that he hopes the community will continue to rally around them and contribute as they have done for the Youth Shelter time and time again.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf we don\u2019t get grants, if we don\u2019t get donations, we don\u2019t exist,” Rosengrant said, “This is why we\u2019re putting that call out because the community has always delivered for us and always stepped up.\u201d<\/p>\n
