SPRING TWP, Pa. – First-year move-in is taking place across Berks County Thursday with students unpacking at Penn State Berks, Albright College, and Kutztown University.<\/p>\n
On Thursday morning, students, staff, and parents were seen helping freshmen move in to their new homes.<\/p>\n
As move-in is scheduled for all day, activity is fluctuating by the hour and will continue through Thursday night.<\/p>\n
Earlier this morning, 69 News crews were at Albright College in Reading as students moved in there.<\/p>\n
The college had student organizations and athletes helping freshmen and their families unload their belongings to bring into dorms.<\/p>\n
The atmosphere was welcoming, with music playing and lots of energy as excitement builds for the students getting ready to take that first step toward college life.<\/p>\n
Albright says there will be several orientation events held this weekend for students to meet their classmates and make new friends.<\/p>\n
At Penn State Berks, student-athletes have already moved in, and upperclassmen will be arriving this weekend.<\/p>\n
