[Courtesy of the Children&#8217;s Museum of Pittsburgh]<\/p>\n<p>Two elephant sculptures now have a permanent home in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>Located outside MuseumLab on the Children\u2019s Museum of Pittsburgh\u2019s campus, Tara and Peanut are life-sized sculptures of an elephant matriarch and calf created by The Real Elephant Collective, a group of 200 Indigenous artisans from India\u2019s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The sculptures are crafted entirely from lantana camara, one of the world\u2019s most invasive plant species, helping restore wildlife habitat while transforming an environmental challenge into art.<\/p>\n<p>Information on the Great Elephant Migration project can be found at thegreatelephantmigration.org.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two elephant sculptures have been placed outside the Children&#8217;s Museum of Pittsburgh.
