After coming to America in 2007, she spent years working at businesses around Reading Terminal Market, including in the area that is now The Fashion District. She later served as manager of Era, an Ethiopian restaurant in Philadelphia\u2019s Brewerytown neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/MartaAndDaughter.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tReading Terminal MarketReading Terminal Market<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, Kebede set her sights on becoming a business owner inside Reading Terminal Market. Years of financial preparation followed, along with business planning delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
