There are more than 35 categories for musicians and industry professionals in many genres, plus broader awards such as artist and song of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The website is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electriccitymusicconference.com.\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">electriccitymusicconference.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After the nominations are posted, the public can cast online votes that will account for part of the scores.<\/p>\n<p>The awards are part of the 13th annual Electric City Music Conference and will be announced at a red-carpet ceremony and concert at the V Spot in Scranton on Thursday, Sept. 10.\u00a0Elephants Dancing, a reggae and ska band with punk influences, will headline the event.<\/p>\n<p>The conference runs that weekend and includes performances and panel discussions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"SCRANTON \u2014 Online nominations for the Steamtown Music Awards close at midnight on Saturday.
