A Throop man punched a woman in the face during an argument over Snapchat on Wednesday, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Christopher Barr, 40, of Sanderson Street, faces charges of assault and harassment.<\/p>\n
According to police, at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Throop officers responded to the residence for a domestic dispute. Officers noted they had been called to the residence on several occasions for past incidences of domestic disputes.<\/p>\n
Police heard a male and a female screaming inside the residence; they then spotted the male, later identified as Barr, attempting to punch out a second-floor window.<\/p>\n
Officers spoke with Stanya Dixon, the alleged victim, who said Barr punched her in the face. Police noted Dixon hid behind officers as she was speaking to them because she was afraid of Barr.<\/p>\n
Dixon later provided officers with a video showing Carr punching the wall and holding his fist up to her face, according to the complaint<\/p>\n
Police noted the area under Dixon\u2019s left eye was red and swollen. They requested an ambulance to evaluate her and treat her head pain.<\/p>\n
Barr told officers the two had been fighting over phone usage all day. He went out, bought three beers, came back and drank them, and then went out and bought three more beers and drank them, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Barr remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.<\/p>\n
