Two transportation and pedestrian projects in Luzerne County were among the 50 statewide that recently received funding from the Shapiro administration.<\/p>\n
Dupont Borough will receive $569,632 to mill and repave several roadways in the borough and West Wyoming will receive $462,543 for street restoration and ADA ramp installation. The funding was provided by the Multimodal Transportation Fund.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced that 50 highway, bridge, aviation, port, bike and pedestrian projects in 27 counties were selected for $54 million in funding.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we invest in safer roads, bridges, ports, and transit, we\u2019re creating jobs, strengthening local economies, and making it easier for people to get where they need to go \u2014 whether that\u2019s to work, school, or a small business on Main Street,\u201d Shapiro said. \u201cThese projects connect communities across the Commonwealth and keep Pennsylvania moving forward safely and efficiently, no matter how they get around.\u201d<\/p>\n
