PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia police are investigating a string of violent incidents that occurred between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, resulting in two deaths and two injuries across the city.<\/p>\n

The violence began when officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Wakeling and Jackson streets around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n
A 64-year-old man was found unresponsive on the highway with a gunshot wound to the face. Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A 39-year-old man who was present at the scene was taken into custody for questioning by the Homicide Unit. Police recovered two handguns at the scene, and charges are currently pending.<\/p>\n
Early Sunday morning, a second fatal shooting occurred in the Kensington neighborhood on the 3200 block of Kensington Avenue at 5:18 a.m. Officers discovered a 35-year-old man unresponsive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back, chest, and right leg. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. No arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

In a non-fatal incident in South Philadelphia, an altercation over an electric bicycle crash left two men injured early Sunday.<\/p>\n
At 2:47 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Mifflin Street and found a 29-year-old man with head abrasions. He declined immediate treatment but later sought care at a hospital, where he is in stable condition.<\/p>\n
At 4:33 a.m., police located a 33-year-old man near the 2000 block of Chestnut Street with a gunshot wound to his left hip. He was transported to Jefferson Hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n
Police say the 33-year-old crashed an e-bike, sparking a dispute over potential vehicle damage. The argument escalated into a physical fight, leading to head injuries and the shooting.<\/p>\n
