\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Raymond Lee Miller, 75, of Wernersville, Pennsylvania, died peacefully of cancer complications on August 16, 2026, at a care facility in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
Born on June 20, 1951, in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Forrest (Woody) Leroy Miller and Anna Dorothy (Twardowski) Miller. <\/p>\n
Raymond (Ray) graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.<\/p>\n
He found great inspiration in jazz and blues music, which led him to collect rare records and sell them as a dealer in the United States, Germany, France and Japan. He believed in free expression, often quoting the words of the American poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti and the lyrics of Bob Dylan while also loving some of the great masters of Art in the 20th century such as Joan Mir\u00f3.<\/p>\n
During his college years, he was a varsity track and field athlete, in addition to playing squash, basketball, handball, and other sports. An interest in athletics, particularly track and field and basketball, remained an important part of his life. <\/p>\n
He is survived by his longtime partner and caregiver these past years, Susan Morrison, their two children, Mahalia and Ian Miller, and three grandchildren. He will be remembered and missed by his family and those who shared his life and who were blessed by his humor and deep compassion. <\/p>\n
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Susan Anne Miller.<\/p>\n
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, at noon at Gethsemane Cemetery in Reading, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
