ALLENTOWN, Pa. — More than 500 DeSales University freshmen were welcomed like celebrities at move-in day on Sunday, including Lexy Sieja and Lauren O’Brien who are beginning their college journeys.<\/p>\n
“Pretty nervous, but it seems exciting,” said Sieja.<\/p>\n
“Very nervous, but it looks very exciting so far,” said Lauren O’Brien.<\/p>\n
Students, like sophomore Molly Alff are here offering a helping hand<\/p>\n
making move-in day as easy as possible.<\/p>\n
“It means so much honestly. This program helped me so much as a freshman and I’m so happy to be able to give back to the people who help this community honestly, I really do,” said Alff.<\/p>\n
Vice president of student life Brian Mauro said students are arriving from all over the country.<\/p>\n
“A lot of energy, a lot of positivity as we hope to help them accomplish their hopes and dreams and lead them to a successful career and a great four years coming ahead,” said Mauro.<\/p>\n
Students said there is a lot to look forward to.<\/p>\n
“Definitely meeting new people and connecting with our lacrosse team more, so super excited,” said O’Brien.<\/p>\n
