{"id":271148,"date":"2026-08-24T11:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T11:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/271148\/"},"modified":"2026-08-24T11:04:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T11:04:07","slug":"tattooed-mom-works-to-restore-shows-after-licensing-violation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/271148\/","title":{"rendered":"Tattooed Mom works to restore shows after licensing violation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                    Finding ways to keep gathering<\/p>\n<p>Tattooed Mom has not stopped operating as a bar and restaurant and continues to hold events that do not constitute live entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>While Perry said he feels a \u201cprofound sense of loss\u201d over the performances that have disappeared, the bar has adjusted its programming, continuing to host pop-up shops, art shows, activist meetups and fundraisers while live entertainment remains off limits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe work really hard to make sure that people know that they\u2019re welcome to create and produce events here,\u201d Perry said. \u201cThere\u2019s just stricter guidelines about what they can and cannot do at the moment. We actively talk to our community and encourage them to hit us up if they have an idea, a cool idea for an event that doesn\u2019t fall outside of those restrictions that we currently have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry said Tattooed Mom has been working with neighborhood supporters, city officials and others to understand the zoning, permitting and licensing requirements it must meet. He said those conversations have been \u201cextremely helpful and extremely supportive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry said his goal is eventually to welcome performers back \u201clegally, safely and properly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-750856 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/tattooed-mom-philadelphia-2026-cl-2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"inside the Tattooed Mom bar\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/>\u201cIt\u2019s really fun to see someone come up here for the first time, especially upstairs,\u201d said Robert Perry, founder of Tattooed Mom.
