Lackawanna County<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\nThe fifth annual “Strong and Coura’Jess Foundation Softball Tournament” was held at the Troop Little League field in memory of Jess Rutkowski.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She passed away from stage four breast cancer in 2021.<\/p>\n
All proceeds from the event along Sanderson Street will support “The Strong and Coura’Jess Foundation,” a non-profit started by her daughter when Jess was first diagnosed in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“It’s just amazing. I just don’t have words for it. Every team comes in, and they have so much fun, and it’s, it’s just amazing. We love this day. It’s the best day of the year for us,” said Sam Donahue from the Strong and Coura’Jess Foundation.<\/p>\n
