\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Patsy Anne Coursey Annie, 76, of Pittston Twp., passed unexpectedly Saturday evening, August 22, 2026, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.<\/p>\n
\nAnnie was born January 8, 1950, daughter of the late Robert and Callie Coursey.<\/p>\n
\nRaised in Palatka Florida, she was a graduate of Palatka Jr-Sr High School and went off to earn her Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Education from the University of Florida. In her earlier years she had worked as a public-school teacher. She was smart, talented, quick-witted, and a had a sense of humor that captured the whole room. She inquired nicknames over the years; Uncle Annie and Uncle Sparkles.<\/p>\n
\nFor 17 years Annie along with her loving partner, Jane Devaney owned and operated AJ\u2019s Bar and Grill, a beloved neighborhood bar and restaurant in Jacksonville Florida.<\/p>\n
\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sylvester and Florence Blaskowski and her brother Bobby Coursey.<\/p>\n
\nShe is survived and will be sadly missed by her partner of 35 years, Jane Devaney, Pittston Twp., sisters-in-law, Marie Santone, Pittston Twp., and Linda Bonk, Scranton, nephew, Stephen Davis (Michele), Florida, nieces, Kristin Endres (Eric), Pittston Twp., and Hannah Bonk, Scranton, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; Morgan, Parker, Avery, and Owen. Her cat Binkx brought endless joy to her daily life.<\/p>\n
\nA celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n
