A 32-year-old Scranton man stole a kitchen knife from a local dollar store before threatening two men following a parking-lot dispute Sunday, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Jamil Harding, of 514 Stipp Court, faces charges of making terroristic threats, assault and disorderly conduct.<\/p>\n
Jamil Harding, Marquis Brownlee and Tarin Harding had recently returned from a trip when Corey Williams met them in the parking lot on North Main Avenue to \u201cclear his name\u201d regarding an ongoing dispute over \u201cold blood\u201d with Jamil Harding, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
When Jamil Harding became angry and wanted to fight Williams, Brownlee stepped between the two men.<\/p>\n
Harding took the move as a threat and told the men, \u201cwait here.\u201d He allegedly returned with a kitchen knife and threatened to kill Williams and Brownlee.<\/p>\n
When Harding heard police sirens, he hid the knife under a nearby trailer. Responding officers arrested Harding and retrieved the knife, as well as discarded knife packaging found nearby.<\/p>\n
Police obtained footage showing Harding entering the Family Dollar, taking the knife, leaving the store and then confronting the victims, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Harding remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.<\/p>\n
