Investigation underway after man shot in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville<\/p>\n

An investigation is underway after officials said a man was shot in Pittsburgh Tuesday night. <\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Public Safety said at 8:25 p.m., officials were called to the 400 block of Brownsville Road following reports of a man being shot. <\/p>\n

Officers were unable to locate the victim when they arrived at the scene. <\/p>\n

Twenty minutes later, a neighboring jurisdiction told Pittsburgh police they had a man in their care who matched the victim’s description. <\/p>\n

The adult man had sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics, and was taken in stable condition by Pittsburgh EMS to an area hospital.<\/p>\n

The victim was uncooperative with officers and, at this time, a crime scene has still not been located.<\/p>\n

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.<\/p>\n
