Westmoreland County convenience store sells $1.5 million winning scratch-off ticket<\/p>\n

Lucky lottery ticket sold at Par Mar in Scottdale<\/p>\n

SCOTTDALE, Pa. \u2014<\/p>\n

A scratch-off lottery ticket that was sold at a convenience store in Western Pennsylvania revealed a big prize of $1.5 million.<\/p>\n

Pennsylvania Lottery officials said the lucky winner bought the ticket at Par Mar on North Broadway Street in Scottdale, Westmoreland County.<\/p>\n

The $1,500,000 Super Star<\/a> game costs $30 to play. Par Mar will get a $10,000 bonus from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.<\/p>\n

“Scratch-Offs are distributed at random, meaning the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold. The lottery learns where winning tickets are sold only after a prize has been claimed,” lottery officials said in the announcement.<\/p>\n

The winner has not been publicly identified.<\/p>\n
