Program Hosts Community Fun Day, School Supply Giveaway (PHOTOS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forty incoming University of Scranton students traded a week of summer break for a week of service, highlighted by a Community Fun Day and back-to-school supply giveaway for local families.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Scranton\u2019s F.I.R.S.T. (First Years Involved in Reflective Service Together) program brought together incoming students, community partners and local families on Tuesday, Aug. 25, for Community Fun Day\u00a0at\u00a0Novembrino\u00a0Park.<\/p>\n<p>The free community event featured\u00a0food,\u00a0face painting,\u00a0games, children\u2019s\u00a0activities\u00a0and the distribution of school supplies to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year.
