{"id":273070,"date":"2026-08-27T06:48:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T06:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/273070\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T06:48:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T06:48:12","slug":"pitt-student-assaulted-by-man-that-had-key-to-apartment-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/273070\/","title":{"rendered":"Pitt student assaulted by man that had key to apartment building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A University of Pittsburgh student was assaulted by a man who somehow had the key to the victim&#8217;s building and the individual apartment. <\/p>\n<p>Police say 20-year-old Chaz Ramon Corlew Jr. of Mount Oliver faces multiple charges including assault and burglary after allegedly assaulting a Pitt student inside his apartment.<\/p>\n<p>The victim fought back when Corlew attempted to sexually assault and choke him. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators say Corlew somehow obtained the master key to the HERE apartments on Forbes Avenue and that allegedly allowed Corlew to open all of the doors. <\/p>\n<p>The University of Pittsburgh says the victim is now living in campus housing.
