The owner of Shorty\u2019s Waterfront has announced the restaurant and bar will close for a month at the end of August \u201cto evolve its concept.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a release, Herky Pollock, the President and CEO of Legacy Hospitality Partners, admits that the location has failed to bring \u201cgreat food, stimulating d\u00e9cor and memorable hospitality.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe owe it to our employees, their families, our customers and the community to do better. When we don\u2019t, we let everyone down,\u201d said Pollock. \u201cIn this case, we believe we let a lot of people down. We take full responsibility for that, and we intend to make it right.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new concept will be called \u201cShorty\u2019s Social Kitchen\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for supporting us and, more importantly, for giving us the opportunity to make it right. We know we can do better. We promise you we will do better.\u201d<\/p>\n
