(WOLF) \u2014 Three Scranton schools will dismiss at their normal times Thursday, but police activity will prevent parents and students from accessing part of Luzerne Street.<\/p>\n<p>The Scranton School District said West Scranton High School remains in secure status because of police activity near the school that is unrelated to the district.<\/p>\n<p>The district said all students are safe.<\/p>\n<p>West Scranton High School, West Intermediate and Frances Willard Elementary School will dismiss at their normal times.<\/p>\n<p>However, parents and students will not be able to access the 1100 block of Luzerne Street because of the ongoing police presence.<\/p>\n<p>The district has not provided details about the nature of the police activity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO.
