{"id":273570,"date":"2026-08-28T00:06:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T00:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/273570\/"},"modified":"2026-08-28T00:06:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T00:06:08","slug":"balloons-are-banned-at-allegheny-county-parks-in-pennsylvania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/273570\/","title":{"rendered":"Balloons are banned at Allegheny County parks in Pennsylvania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No balloons allowed in Allegheny County parks<\/p>\n<p>A new policy is banning balloons in all nine Allegheny County parks<\/p>\n<p>PITTSBURGH \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">Balloons are banned in all nine Allegheny County parks, effective immediately, under a new policy announced Thursday.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">&#8220;The use of balloons, including helium-filled, latex, or water balloons are prohibited within the Parks,&#8221; said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/alleghenycountyparks\/reel\/DcjKLcXj3TC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a post on the county parks&#8217; social media pages<\/a>. &#8220;This includes decorative or prop uses at shelters, park facilities, wedding venues, and all events hosted within the Parks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">The release of balloons and sky lanterns in county parks is also prohibited, according to the post.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">&#8220;This decision is in direct response to frequent litter and debris left from balloons brought into the Parks by visitors.
