retired from his position<\/a> in Greenville in June after more than seven years in the role. Brandon Craft has since assumed the director position.<\/p>\n\u201cThis move is bittersweet,\u201d Hopper told WITN. \u201cI have very much enjoyed working with the staff, board, and stakeholders at PGV and being a part of the Pitt County and Greenville community. I am equally excited about becoming a member of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton communities and working with the Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton Airport board and staff.\u201d<\/p>\n
During his time in the Marine Corps, Hopper says he spent a lot of time in New Hampshire, and this new job allows him to be closer to his family.<\/p>\n
The decision to take a new job also came after a consulting and executive search firm saw that he was retiring and believed he was fit for the open role. <\/p>\n
Once they reached out, Hopper says he applied and found it to be a good organization. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey impressed me greatly in the hiring process and made my choice to accept the offer easy,\u201d Hopper said.<\/p>\n
He officially starts the new job on November 1.<\/p>\n
