{"id":274914,"date":"2026-08-29T23:40:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T23:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/274914\/"},"modified":"2026-08-29T23:40:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T23:40:14","slug":"eastbound-i-76-to-close-overnight-next-week-nbc10-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/274914\/","title":{"rendered":"Eastbound I-76 to close overnight next week \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eastbound Interstate 76, also known as the Schuylkill Expressway, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/penndot-lane-closures-market-street-interstate-76-bridge-rehabilitation-project\/4434174\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">will close next week as part of the $148 million Market Street Bridge project<\/a>, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).<\/p>\n<p>From Monday, Aug. 31, through Thursday, Sept. 3, eastbound I-76 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning as crews work to rehabilitate the bridges that carry Market Street over Amtrak and I-76, the Schuylkill River Trail, and the CSX Railroad in Center City.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said eastbound I-76 traffic will be detoured between the I-676 and 30th Street interchanges.
