(WOLF) \u2014 A Scranton man is facing felony charges following an investigation into the alleged abuse of two young children.<\/p>\n<p>Scranton Police say detectives with the department&#8217;s Special Victims Unit began investigating on August 24 after receiving a report of an incident in the 500 block of Cherry Street in South Scranton.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the investigation involved allegations of child endangerment and simple assault.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Jose Leon of Scranton was taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>Leon is charged with two felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two misdemeanor counts of simple assault.<\/p>\n<p>Police did not release the ages of the children or additional details about the alleged abuse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO.
