Pedal PGH participant hit by vehicle; police search for driver<\/p>\n

Police are searching for a vehicle they said hit a bicyclist who was participating in Pedal PGH and left the scene before authorities arrived on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said first responders were called to the 4000 block of Beechwood Boulevard in Greenfield for reports of a hit-and-run incident involving a cyclist and a vehicle. <\/p>\n

The victim, an adult man, was riding his bike when he was hit by a vehicle. The man sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene. <\/p>\n

Officials said the man declined to be taken to the hospital. <\/p>\n

Witnesses reported seeing a white SUV drive away from the area following the collision. <\/p>\n

A description of the driver was not immediately available. <\/p>\n

An investigation is now underway. <\/p>\n
