A national nonprofit is teaming up with the Lehigh Valley community for a cure, one step at a time.<\/p>\n
The first-ever “Steps for a Cure” community walk was hosted in partnership with Project Purple– a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting the disease.<\/p>\n
Survivors, family, friends, and supporters gathered for a three-mile walk at Lehigh Parkway, all for one goal– creating a world without pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n
“Pancreatic cancer doesn’t discriminate, and it’s just awesome when you can bring people that don’t even know each other, but be here for this purpose of finding a cure for this awful disease,” Dino Verrelli, founder and CEO of Project Purple.\u00a0<\/p>\n
