Kannada superstar\u00a0Yash<\/a>‘s new movie\u00a0Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups<\/a>\u00a0opened big at the box office earning Rs 140 crore worldwide and Rs 101 crore net in India.\n<\/p>\n

However, from day two onwards, the movie suffered major crash due to poor reviews and couldn’t even hit Rs 300 crore in its 5-day extended opening weekend.\n<\/p>\n

After making Rs 101 crore in India on day one, Toxic crashed at the box office from day two onwards and made Rs 37.65 crore, Rs 27.20 crore on day three, Rs 25.15 crore on day four and Rs 23 crore on day five.\n<\/p>\n

In five days, Toxic has made Rs 214.20 crore net in India and overseas it made a terrible Rs 29.25 crore. The worldwide 5-day opening weekend of Toxic is now Rs 285.20 crore.\n<\/p>\n

For a movie that opened to Rs 140 crore, it couldn’t even double that number in the next four days combined.\n<\/p>\n

Toxic may find it hard to go past Rs 350 crore mark, globally, by the end of its run. It was made on a reportedly budget of Rs 500-600 crore.\n<\/p>\n

Ravi Teja’s Irumudi & Nivin Pauly’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Become Blockbusters<\/p>\n

Marking Ravi Teja’s comeback at the box office, Telugu movie Irumudi<\/a>\u00a0continues its triumphant run at the box office as it made Rs 37.40 crore in India in its second weekend as compared to Rs 50.50 in opening weekend.\n<\/p>\n

Overall, the 10-day domestic biz of Irumudi now stands at Rs 129.55 crore net.\n<\/p>\n

At the worldwide box office, the movie has made Rs 170.95 crore (Rs 20.50 crore overseas biz).\n<\/p>\n

It is now heading towards Rs 200 crore mark making it first for Ravi Teja by a massive margin.\n<\/p>\n

Released on the same day as Irumudi, Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit\u00a0nears Rs 200 crore mark by the end of day 10.\n<\/p>\n

It made Rs 82.45 crore net in India and Rs 98.50 crore overseas taking its 10-day global total to Rs 194.65 crore.\n<\/p>\n

The Nivin Pauly starrer will hit Rs 200 crore by its day 11 making it the seventh Malayalam movie in history to hit a double century.\n<\/p>\n
