A 48-year-old man was killed Saturday night after his electric bicycle was hit by an SUV in Springfield Township.<\/p>\n
Pennsylvania State Police in Girard responded to the crash around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Ridge Road and Steinberg Road.<\/p>\n
According to police, a Hyundai was traveling east on West Ridge Road when it hit a man on an E-bike, who was traveling diagonally southeast.<\/p>\n
The driver of the Hyundai SUV was not injured.<\/p>\n
The bicyclist, identified as 48-year-old Peter A. Grzywinski of West Springfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
According to police, the driver didn\u2019t see the bicyclist crossing the road before the crash.<\/p>\n
Springfield Fire Department, West County Ambulance and Pennsylvania State Police assisted at the scene.
