Nowadays, teams can utilize up to two designations where they place a player on IR as part of getting down to 53 players and still be able to activate them after the player misses four games. The Eagles used this maneuver with both Ainias Smith and Albert Okwuegbunam Jr. in 2024 and Myles Hinton in 2025.
