EASTON, Pa. — The streets of Easton are rocking, as shrimp and crab cakes sizzle up. Clams are steaming at the 12th annual Clam Jam.<\/p>\n
“It’s awesome. We love being here. Easton is just such a great city,” said Gianna Smith with Clam Jam Boil BBQ.<\/p>\n
Smith is returning with Clam Jam Boil BBQ, serving everything from lobster rolls to po’boys.<\/p>\n
“I just love seeing all the people. It’s great seeing all the people get out here every day and just prepare for this and all of the people that come to visit each vendor,” said Smith.<\/p>\n
Smith was at the festival alongside her colleague Tony Logan, who is usually cooking but has other duties Sunday. He is decked out in a pirate costume.<\/p>\n
“Trying to get some kids some treasure maps and find the treasure,” said Logan.<\/p>\n
Nearby, Jasmeet Bansal with Aman’s Artisan Indian Cuisine is serving up his famous fish fritters.<\/p>\n
“We use a freshwater fish, and there is a blend of spices, dry marinate that goes on the fish first and then chickpea flour, rice flour. Just a bunch of different good spices, marinate 24 hours. It’s been marinating since yesterday. Fry the fish at the festival, get a nice crisp bite, a little jalapeno garlic chutney. It’s the best thing here,” said Bansal.<\/p>\n
It is just one of the things you can find at a festival. Third and Ferry co-owner and event organizer Mike Pichetto said it continues to grow.<\/p>\n
“We like to think of it as like an end-of-the-summer party, right? So, it’s like all your kids are going back to school tomorrow. You had this summer; it’s winding down.
