(WOLF) \u2014 Pennsylvania State Police will conduct DUI checkpoints and roving patrols across Lackawanna County during Labor Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers from PSP Dunmore said the enforcement effort will run from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7.<\/p>\n<p>According to state police, checkpoints and patrols will target highways in Lackawanna County that have experienced high numbers of DUI-related traffic violations and crashes.<\/p>\n<p>Police did not identify the specific roads or locations where checkpoints will be conducted.<\/p>\n<p>State police said the increased enforcement is intended to protect motorists from impaired drivers during the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania&#8217;s legal blood-alcohol concentration limit for most drivers is 0.08%.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers are urging anyone who plans to drink during the holiday weekend to arrange for a sober driver rather than get behind the wheel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA CO.
