Twenty-two faculty members at The University of Scranton received promotions heading into the start of the 2026-27 academic year\u00a0and\u00a0are\u00a0effective as of Aug. 31.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Four faculty members were elevated to professor:<\/p>\n
Jinghan Cai, Ph.D.,\u00a0economics\u00a0and finance;Howard Fisher, Ph.D.,\u00a0communications;Cyrus P. Olsen III,\u00a0Ph.D., theology;Michelle Pratt-McHugh,\u00a0library.<\/p>\n
Four faculty members were advanced to associate professor:<\/p>\n
Deborah Budash, Ph.D.,\u00a0occupational therapy;Laura Chapman, Ph.D.,\u00a0health\u00a0and human performance;Ashley Driver, Ph.D.,\u00a0biology;Amanda Marcy, Ph.D.,\u00a0accounting.<\/p>\n
Six faculty members were named associate professor and granted tenure:<\/p>\n
Christopher Fremaux, Ph.D.,\u00a0philosophy;Bibi Khan, Ph.D.,\u00a0biology;Julie Murphy, Ph.D.,\u00a0nursing;Joshua Reynolds, Ph.D.,\u00a0psychology;Laura Skoronski Chavez, Ph.D.,\u00a0nursing;Cristen Walker,\u00a0Ph.D.,\u00a0nursing.<\/p>\n
