Pittsburgh opening 5 cooling centers with temperatures rising into the 90s<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh’s Department of Parks & Recreation will activate multiple cooling centers across the city starting Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Five Healthy Active Living Centers will be opened as cooling centers from Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Sept.3. <\/p>\n

The centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. <\/p>\n

Temperatures are expected to exceed 90 degrees. <\/p>\n

Impact Day Tuesday <\/p>\n

The air gets hotter and heavier through midweek. The combination of highs near 90 degrees and very humid air will make it feel like the mid to upper 90s Tuesday. It will feel very similar before thunderstorms fire Wednesday afternoon. <\/p>\n

Cloud coverage and unsettled weather could complicate the temperature forecast. The added clouds would tone down some of the heat, but not the humidity.<\/p>\n
