Police said a woman “went through hell” as her son beat her to death<\/a>\u00a0for over an hour at their home in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Christin Hamilton’s daughter found her mother naked and beaten to death outside her home on Herminie West Newton Road in Sewickley Township around 9 a.m. on Sunday, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Steve Limani said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I can only imagine what she had to go through to find her mother in the state that she was found,” Limani said. “It’s a horrific thing for what the victim had to go through, and it’s disgusting to watch.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

The home had a camera out front, which Limani said recorded Hamilton’s son, 29-year-old Jakob Korber, assaulting his mother for over an hour.<\/p>\n

Limani said Hamilton was wearing a towel at the time of the assault, apparently just starting her morning. He said Korber confronted her and started to assault her, ripping the towel off of her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It’s just a disgusting, vile act that he committed against his mother that lasted for a long, sustained period of time where she pled for her life and he at no point in time showed any mercy,” Limani said.<\/p>\n

Limani said that no neighbors, not even Hamilton’s daughter who was asleep inside the home, heard her screaming for help.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“She went through hell for over an hour, and it was at the hands of her son,” Limani said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After the assault, Limani said Korber changed his clothes and walked away to sleep in a nearby field, leaving his sister to find their mother’s body.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Korber was arrested around 5 p.m. after he was seen walking on a road not far from the home. KDKA-TV captured\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0of Korber approaching the driveway, and when he was met by police, he knelt down and put his hands over his head. He was taken into custody without incident. \u00a0<\/p>\n

During his interview with troopers, they said Korber confessed that if his mother were dead, he was the one who caused it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I would say that there is a small part of remorse being conveyed during the subsequent interview,” Limani said. “But it lasted for over an hour. At some point in time, you could have stopped. And that’s not what happened.”<\/p>\n

According to an obituary, Korber’s 16-year-old sister, Kylee Korber, was among four Yough High School students who were\u00a0killed in a crash<\/a>\u00a0in March. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Jakob Korber has been charged, though Limani said that as the investigation continues, additional charges may be filed. He’s currently being housed at the Westmoreland County Prison without bail. He has a preliminary hearing set for Monday, Sept. 14.<\/p>\n
